Big Rig RV Camping in the Black Hills
Bring the motorhome or fifth wheel to the middle of the Hills. Our RV sites are full hookup, and US-385 gets you to Deadwood, Sturgis, and Rushmore country without the tunnels.

- A fire pit and picnic table at each site
- Clean bathrooms, hot showers, and laundry
- Wi-Fi across the park
- Propane and fuel at Custer's Last Store and Gas
Check your rig before you book
Site length, layout, and electrical service vary. If you drive a long motorhome or fifth wheel, read the site details on the booking page for your dates, and email custercrossings@gmail.com with your rig length and electrical needs before you book so we can point you to a site that fits.
Driving a big rig in the Black Hills
- US-385 is the main north-south route through the Hills, and camp sits right on it at 22036 Hwy 385.
- Skip the tunnel roads in the big rig. The Needles Highway and Iron Mountain Road have narrow tunnels and tight switchbacks. Unhook and drive the toad or tow vehicle.
- Watch the grades. Mountain roads in the Hills climb and descend; use lower gears on long downhills.
- Fill propane and fuel at camp instead of searching for big-rig-friendly stations in town.
- August is busy. During the Sturgis Rally (August 6 to 15, 2027) roads are full of motorcycles. Plan travel days early in the morning.
