Black Hills Camping Cabins With Two Queen Beds, Heat, and A/C
Get the campground experience without a camper or a tent. Our cabins sit in the pines about 25 minutes from Deadwood, with food, fuel, and showers a short walk away.
Who this page is for
You want to sleep in the Black Hills, not in a hotel off the interstate, but you do not own a camper and you are not ready to sleep on the ground. You want a real bed, heat on a cold night, air conditioning on a hot one, and a campfire outside the door. A camping cabin at Custer Crossing is built for exactly that trip.
Custer Crossing Family Campground has about 11 camping cabins at 22036 Hwy 385, about 15 miles south of Deadwood, roughly 25 minutes. Distances and times are approximate, based on public map data, and change with traffic, weather, and road work.
What is in each cabin
Each cabin includes:
- Two queen beds
- Heat and air conditioning
- A mini fridge, microwave, and coffee maker
- A deck, fire pit, and picnic table outside
- Bedding: bring your own, or rent bedding as an add-on when you book
What to know before you book
These are camping cabins, so pack like you are camping with a roof. Clean bathrooms and hot showers are on site, along with laundry. Cabin details can vary, so read the cabin description on the booking page for your dates, and confirm anything that matters to your trip when you book. If you are bringing the dog, read our dog-friendly camping page first.
